Steps to Clean and Restore Your Blast-Tec Pro Nozzle
1. Flush the LineBefore removing the nozzle, fire up the high-pressure system to flush any loose debris or grit out of the plumbing and supply lines.
2. Check and Clean the Inlet ScreenTurn off the high-pressure system.Remove the nozzle from the manifold or spray arm.Look into the inlet connection and locate the dome screen.Use a small flat-head screwdriver to gently pry the edge of the screen, then pull it out using needle-nose pliers.Rinse off the screen with a hose, or use compressed air to blow out all the debris.
3. Inspect and Clean the RotorIf clearing the screen doesn't fix the pattern, take the nozzle apart to access the internal rotor (some models allow you to unthread the body).Wash all internal parts (the nozzle tip, seat retainer, and mini rotor assembly) in warm, soapy water to remove accumulated grit.If you notice excessive erosion or severe wear on the cross holes of the rotor, you may need to replace the internal components using a Hydra-Flex Blast-Tec Pro Repair Kit.
